Randy came to the conclusion that if he didn't give in to us getting a dog, eventually my parents would just bring one home. They tend to believe that kids should have pets. So instead of letting grandma and grandpa be the heroes, he wanted all the love and praise. We bribed them at the beach house and they held up their end. They were excellent children. We came home and began our search. It began with a few disappointments. Dogs being gone or secretly adopted, but in the end it worked out perfect. Here is Tallie. She is super calm. Seemed a little depressed when we came home but has pepped up since then. She is three years old and a terrier mix of some sort. Randy's favorite parts... we have still never heard her bark & she was only $25. Meg is super sweet to her and the boys think she is pretty cool too. We do still need to teach her to chase a ball but I think that will all come once she is fully healed from her "surgery". All in all she has been super easy and even though he will never admit it, Randy loves this dog. I caught him out rubbing her belly and giving her treats twice without the kids!!

Oh you are so brave! She doesn't look like a puppy though, so maybe that will make it easier.
your a better mom than me thats all i have to say! i am way to selfish for a dog.....your kids are probably in heaven!
I am definitely not a mom that will give into a dog either. Cute pics though. You guys enjoy!
Paige said, oh, we have to go and visit!!! She is excited for Meg!
HOORAY!!! It isn't that bad when you have the right dog. We don't have a fence or anything for Millie and she hasn't done anything naughty since the move! Your kids look so happy!
I think it is a necessary thing for kids to have a pet, too. Randy was smart to be the hero! Cute dog.
Let me know how it goes. Nate is trying to talk me into getting one.
WOW! You guys are the nicest parents!!! Lucky kids! How are you feeling? We saw Randy at the airport the other day picking up Gram & Gramps! Enjoy!
is this dog happy yet???
